First thing is first. This is not an extremely over the top aromatic. This is topped with caramel and it is very apparent when first lighting the bowl. As with all aromatics you need to let this dry quite a bit. In doing so you will lose some of the strenght with the topping but as a straight virginia smoker pri not interested in loads and loads of topping even on my “desert” smoke. Once you hookupdate.net/escort-index/norwalk have let this dry a bit (I do this bowl by bowl because I do not smoke this every day and dont want the whole jar to dry out) it will smoke much cooler and lose all bite provided you don’t smoke too fast. I will mix a touch of this in with almost anything but a virginia flake (which is perfection and therefore should not be messed with =)). recommended but remember to dry it and smoke it slow or you will get a wet smoke and a nice bite.
Sweet Killarney (now Old Killarney) was my first Petersons blend and my first real introduction to a fun aromatic blend.
Still, if you love aromatics you should try Peterson?
The first thing one will note is that the tobacco is roughly cut and mixed with finer cuts, this can make packing a smaller bowl a bit of a challenge. I found that tearing some of the larger pieces made more sense rather than trying to pack them.

The tobacco make take several lightings to get going, I have always found that this tobacco goes out quickly, yet needs to be smoked slowly. This can be a challenge to a newer smoker like myself.
Smoking this tobacco slowly is key. My first pipe was a Dr.Grabow and it destroyed my tongue, I upgraded to a Kirten and have not had any problems since. This tobacco can burn very hot if you draw too quickly and take away the subtle hints of flavor that this tobacco was designed to give.
Tiger’s review hit the preverbial nail squarily on the head. The only thing I will add is It bites like a Rabid Ferrit.
I was really hoping to like Sweey Killarney but that was just too much to hope for. Bear in mind I’m mostly a medium-English type so take this with several grains of salt. To me – the casing wasn’t so much “caramelly” as it was just “too much”. It was like smoking one of those cheap scented candles from the grocery store. It was also wet and poorly behaved and, surprise – bystanders were not particularly enamored with its’ room note at all. One likened it to “some kind of dish soap”. For no other reason than I know aromatic smokers who are nice people I’ll give Sweet Killarney one star, a small one.
A wonderful tin aroma, but like the other Peterson aromatics I?ve tried it will bite you at even the slightest provocation. I only smoke aromatics about ten percent of the time, and when I do I prefer one that doesn?t require such caution. s offerings, and I would rank this second in their lineup, just behind Sunset Breeze.
